A New Take on an Old House
We prepared this home for selling — long before we ever heard the term home staging — by using simple furnishings and accessories and a neutral palette so this storage-challenged century home looked spacious and attractive. It received five offers its first day on the market and it sold for $20,000 over its asking price.

Adding More Living Space to a Home
This basement space was wasted as a cold and uninviting storage room, but with careful packing and by using items from other rooms in the house we transformed it into an airy and open family room.

This room was a challenge: no budget, no repainting allowed and a cinderblock wall behind the couch (so no picture hooks). We borrowed from the homeowner's collection of art — and a throw she had available — to add a little colour to the room.
We kept the window treatments to add some colour and warmth to this basement room but we opened them up to let light flood in. Editing the bookcase items down adds visual interest — not distractions. Our homeowner and her friends were amazed at the no-budget transformation.
